Experience:
Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience must be described for each grade level advertised. The specialized experience requirements for this position are:
Qualifying experience for GS-09 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-07 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience assisting with managing daily and long-term facility operations; and monitoring building maintenance and repair for multiple office sites, laboratories, or storage buildings. OR Education:
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration or LL.B. or J.D., if related if related to a field of study that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. OR A combination of education and experience as described above. At the GS-11:

Qualifying experience for GS-11 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-09 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience managing daily and long-term facility operations; and managing and monitoring building maintenance and repair for multiple office sites, laboratories, or storage buildings. OR Education:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a degree in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration or LL.M if related to a field of study that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. OR A combination of education and experience as described above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Working Environment:
Work is in an office or laboratory setting, greenhouses/head house, warehouses, and other facilities. Position requires work in adverse weather conditions including heavy rain and excessive cold or hot temperatures. There is a need to be able to climb ladders and work at varying heights. The incumbent must continually stay alert and take special safety precautions including wearing special protective items such as safety glasses or goggles, respirator, gloves, steel toe shoes, hardhat, etc. Physical Demands:
Work involves tasks and visits throughout the federal facilities and requires physical exertion (walking, standing, bending, inspecting and adjusting technical devices.) More strenuous activity may be required, such as inspecting inaccessible utilities, climbing ladders, making minor repairs, or assisting in lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), and using appropriate equipment. Travel by motor vehicle is required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
