Administrative Operations Assistant, GS-0303-05/06 (SRM-DEU)

As an Administrative Operations Assistant within the Forest & Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:
-Assists administrative team with budget, contracting and procurement tasks. -Performs general clerical duties in support of office management. -Assists science staff with property and equipment management, travel and vehicles. -Operates a government vehicle as an incidental driver. For GS-05 - One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in the Federal service. Examples of GS-4 level work:
Performs a full range of assignments consisting of related steps, processes or methods; responses differ in nature and sequence; requires knowledge of an organization's programs and operations, rules and processes. Exercises initiative in completing recurring assignments; uses judgment in selecting appropriate guidelines and procedures from among a number of specific references. For GS-06 - One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service. Examples of GS-05 level work:
Performs standard and nonstandard assignments involving different and unrelated processes or methods in varying sequence; work requires extensive knowledge of rules, operations, or business practices. Follows accepted practices in resolving nonrecurring problems and meeting deadlines; completed products are evaluated for effectiveness in meeting goals; extensive guidelines in the form of instructions, manuals, and regulations are applied. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement.
