Provides safe, effective and quality medical laboratory services to infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients in accordance with professional standards. Performs analyses that require a complex network of steps and variables. Provides supervision and support in assigned clinical section of the laboratory for the efficient and effective delivery of quality services by the section staff. Promotes and contributes to the expertise in the clinical laboratory by providing expert-level guidance on technical issues to a range of staff, from entry level to leads. Develops policies, procedures and methods in accordance with accreditation requirements.
Bachelor s degree in a related field required.
ASCP or equivalent certified Medical Laboratory Scientist required.
Three (3) years recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist required.
Microbiology Specialist Certification is preferred.
Microbiology experience is strongly preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
