Digital Marketing Specialist

DescriptionThe Marketing and Communications team of the Oregon State University Foundation creates experiences, tells stories and builds communities that inspire alumni and friends to join OSU in making the world a better place and feel appreciated for the difference they make through partnerships with the university.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications Strategy, the Digital Marketing Specialist works with colleagues to plan and execute digital marketing strategies, all of which advance our goals for engaging alumni and friends of the university and stewarding and cultivating donors.
Work Location This position will be based in Corvallis, Oregon, or Portland, Oregon, and will work out of the corresponding OSU Foundation office.
Key Partners Other members of the Marketing and Communications team, notably the graphic designer, writers, event planners and other digital marketing specialists Members of the Foundation's annual giving and alumni engagement teams Members of the Foundation's Information Technology and Advancement Services teams Measures of Success The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a role in realizing the Marketing and Communications team's vision of creating an environment where all OSU alumni and friends are driven to connect with the university to be a part of something bigger than themselves and to advance the promise of higher education, as well as the university's research and outreach missions.
Specifically, the success of the position will be measured by the degree to which it is able to:
Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of emails, social media posts and web updates Increase the customization and segmentation of digital content Increase digital strategies based on data analytics and insights Increase the conversion and engagement rates of email and social campaigns, as well as ongoing improvement of web user experience Major Duties Plan, manage, and execute integrated social media campaigns, both paid and organic, including developing relevant content topics to reach target stakeholders and monitoring, listening, and responding to stakeholders.
Develop and execute strategy for email marketing, working closely with clients to develop, build and send emails and leverage new tools, processes, and best practices.
Manage the social editorial calendar across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter).
Participate in kickoff meetings for important projects, campaigns, and events to grasp the messaging, make recommendations, and create an effective and complete digital marketing strategy.
Communicate the OSU brand voice in a coherent and effective manner across all digital platforms.
Track and assess data and analytics for digital marketing to make recommendations on future projects, events and campaigns.
Strategically use marketing automation software and other technology tools across email, web, and social media to deliver timely and relevant content to key audiences.
Build digital marketing assets, coordinate distribution lists, schedule and release messages, web updates and posts.
Collaborate with Foundation leaders to ensure digital strategies are aligned with organizational priorities.
Monitor trends and technologies to identify emerging opportunities in digital marketing and respond to changes to external properties, such as social media and search algorithms.
Through collaboration with the messaging team, build and maintain a style guide for web that users across the Foundation can utilize in making consistent and on-brand web updates.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Comprehensive knowledge or understanding of:
Social media platforms and messaging strategies, including paid advertising Digital marketing strategies, platforms, and formats AP style and strong verbal/written communication, including for the development and proofreading of digital marketing copy Content management systems Customer Experience (CX) strategies with a focus on driving loyalty, engagement, and action Proven skill in:
Content marketing Data collection and analytics Social media monitoring SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics Editorial calendaring, including for social media, email marketing and web Attention to detail in incorporating feedback and maintaining version control over documents Demonstrated ability to:
Handle interpersonal relationships maturely, thoughtfully, and empathetically, including the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds Bring digital marketing knowledge to the organization Use digital technologies to achieve marketing goals, including direct experience with a Web content management system (such as Sitefinity, Drupal, WordPress, and/or iModules), social media planning and management tools and broadcast email tools Use data analytics and key project metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing and recommend strategy adjustments accordingly to achieve defined results Master new technologies (email marketing platform, alumni/donor database, etc.
); develop strong relationships with vendors and customer support teams for independent and ongoing skill development Work across departments to develop and drive campaigns to encourage engagement and action from targeted audiences Manage and meet multiple deadlines Work in a fast-paced environment, managing and prioritizing a high volume of work Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience in marketing.
Education and experience equivalencies will be considered.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
