Oregon State University Libraries & Press (OSUL&P) invites applications for the position of Head of Guin Library, a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, tenure track faculty position. The Guin Library is located at the Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) in Newport, Oregon.
We are looking for an energetic and forward-thinking leader to manage the daily operations of the Guin Library, and to develop new initiatives that will keep the library at the heart of HMSCs dynamic and rapidly-growing campus. Strong collaborative skills are essential; HMSC currently hosts research and education programs from seven OSU colleges and six state and federal agencies. As an active member of the HMSC faculty, the successful candidate will build relationships with OSU faculty, staff and students, and also with state, federal and visiting scientists. He or she will develop policies and programs to meet the needs of this specialized campus, and as a member of OSUL&Ps leadership team will balance those needs with OSUL&Ps strategic goals and priorities. OSU plans to significantly expand the HMSC in the future, and this position will have a unique opportunity to shape the development of library services for that initiative.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
